Regular office hours are 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, by appointment.
Please do not use cell phones while in the office.
We ask that you bring your insurance information with you at every visit.
A parent/guardian must accompany their child for every visit, up to age 18.
A copy of the Notice of Privacy Practices (HIPAA) form must be reviewed and signed by a parent/guardian.
Be sure to update your personal & family history information at each visit.
Check ups for infants and toddlers for your next visit should be scheduled at the end of the previous visit. Infant visits should be scheduled for early morning. For other children and adolescents it should be scheduled after your child’s birthday. Whenever possible, try to make annual check ups in the morning or early afternoon, in order to provide optional time for the exam. Missing ½ day of school annually is better than a harried visit after 3pm when we are trying to deal with urgent visits.
Urgent visits will be scheduled the same day, the earlier you call, the easier it will be to accommodate your preferences for doctor or time.
Our nurses will handle routine questions about shots, feeding, or minor illnesses as promptly as possible. If you request to speak with a doctor, leave the phone number where you can be reached during normal working hours and also after hours.
You may email the office for non-urgent matters. As of now email is not secure, and response time will vary, but I do prefer email to respond to non-urgent issues.
We always provide medical coverage on weekends and holidays. We rotate weekends on call with three other small groups. Offices are generally open half days on weekends and holidays, if you call before 10AM, you will be given an appointment for an urgent visit with the on call doctor.
The on call doctor does not have access to your child’s medical record. He/she is not expected to renew your child’s prescription, or fulfill any routine obligation that would be handled by this office during regular office hours.
